Adrian Gottshall

Adrian Gottshall is the Director of Pro Bono Representation & Training with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. In this role, she directors the Advocacy & Justice Clinic, a full representation litigation clinic. She also oversees the Pro Bono Center’s award-winning Training Program.

Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center, Adrian worked as a clinical instructor at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law Housing & Consumer Law Clinic, where she taught law students substantive housing law and supervised civil litigation matters. She also worked as an attorney at Neighborhood Legal Services Program’s Anacostia and Deanwood offices, where she specialized in housing law, including eviction defenses, disability rights, termination of subsidies, and affirmative civil litigation.

Adrian holds a bachelor’s degree in crime, law, & justice from The Pennsylvania State University and a juris doctor from The University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law. She also holds a master of laws (LL.M.) in clinical legal education.

Adrian is a former Howard C. Westwood Fellow, sponsored by Covington & Burling LLP, and the author of “Solving Sewer Service: Fighting Fraud with Technology,” 70 Ark. L. Rev. 813 (2018).
